If chess is solved....

No human can memorize all of that so we still play.

The best computer chess engines, even though they play still imperfectly, have been stronger than the best humans for over 10 years now, but humans still compete against each other in tournaments anyway.
Even if chess is ever solved (in the mathematical sense of "solved", i.e., a 32-man table base), which is unlikely in the forseable future, unaided humans will forever play poorly in comparison. So we humans will always have a chance against each other. Just don't play the silicon beasts, and chess will continue as usual.
if chess is solved, will people stop playing it? i mean computer engines will most definatly solve this game, and the game will go down the toilet after that. I am very surprised that no one has spoken up against this possiblity, everyone is excited about what computers can do and how they will make analysis and stuff easier, but they tend to forget the darker side of computers. this post is not a joke, I am seriously concerned.
