If chess were solved and it was determined that like checkers the best you can hope for with perfect play is a draw would it effect how the game is played at top level? If so how? If not why?
Who said it's solved? "Perfect play is a draw" is also just a theory, not proven.
Even if it is solved, playing chess tests the human mind's limit. You know cars now are faster than any human but why do we still have the marathons?
"solving" chess by a massive supercomputer would not change chess at all.
