If somebody dies during a chess game, what happens?
Sort:
If someone dies during a chess game, it depends. Does the person fall over forward and knock his king sideways? Is it a timed game? If so then you'd win based on the dead guy's inability to move another piece. If the game is for money, then you go to court for the proceeds. You'll have to prove you were going to win though. If you were in the old days, they'd check the deceased for poison, of course you'd be the suspect. And finally, you could argue that dying is a move you can not presently top, and simply concede your game, giving respecting the dead opponent by letting them win their last game of chess! :))

My english teacher once told me a story about how his dad played a correspondence game vs a guy in africa i think and he died
first job is to find out if the deceased's missus is hot.
in which case, file for your winnings against the deceased's estate.
then, before litigation ensues, come to some other arrangement. :)

That depends, do you think its worth going to jail forever over a won chess game and a wallet...
