I don't know what the live results are because I'm watching day by day in the archive, and trying to avoid live results, but last I saw Anand was winning or tied for the lead.
If Anand wins it is a tremendous accomplishment to win 3 straight candidate tournaments among the best 10 players in the world (minus Carlsen).
I believe he is as good of a challenger to Carlsen as any, and if he is the challenger I'm excited to see this battle continue into round 3. I feel that this is an epic friendly rivalry of great chess minds including one bridge from the Kasparov era to Carlsen.
