If you don’t accept at least one rematch after you win, then you lose.

I don't take it too seriously, I think the meaning of chess is to enjoy the game. If you get angry because someone is not playing rematch with you, then you are not having fun playing chess.

You are much too sane and sensible! And you're right, of course

So if someone doesn't agree with you, they're insane? smh

I disagree

I always decline rematchs, and the reason, of course, is because I´m so afraid of losing against randomguy23 from randomcountry1. I would rather set a new game against randomguy41 from randomcountry2 instead and lose against him.

Lakers nephew, if you have time for a rematch, but you don’t accept that rematch, then you’re scared. End of story.

Scared of what? It's a chess game, not a duel! Win. lose, life goes on. If I don't play you, I play someone else. If you don't play me, you play some one else. Most of the time, I don't even notice the user name of my opponent--because it simply doesn't matter.

Okay, you're entitled to your opinion. BTW, what does your uncle think about this?

his uncle is dead.

Sometimes you just have other things to do.

"Whenever I'm losing, I must have rematches!"

the Patzer repeatedly, heatedly cried.

He continued to lose even more games, in batches,

and rematched and rematched  until he died.

I do accept rematches, but only if the opponent can win against me. If you are down 0-3 and still ask for a rematch, I'd rather you call me a cheater and be done with it.

Ehm... no?

If I like you (doesn’t mean I can farm you) I’ll keep accepting rematches. However my genera rule is, if you can smash the rematch button quicker than I hit new game, I’ll take it

People who don't accept rematches are cowards. Period. Unless they are not playing again, they're straight up spineless.

You could not have been more correct in your evaluation. I almost always decline rematches out of complete fear that my hard earned eight rating points will be taken away.

Holy_Crusaderr

People have as much right to accept the rematch and just as much right to decline the rematch.

I don't think you know how the spirit of competition works. If you beat someone and they ask you for a rematch, you should have some pride in yourself to play again. And I've noticed that most of the time people won't rematch is when they've beaten me because I ran out of time in a winning position or some other cheap victory. Most of the time when the games are close, they will accept it. It seems to be the cowards who are getting their position blown up but win on some time measure or stalemate. "ohhh noooo I won, I wont accept a reeeeemaaaatch." Cowards with no spirit, pride, or confidence in their intelligence.

Sounds like something a loser would say, a very sore loser.

Well since my games are all won by flagging in bad positions, and I’m not smart, I decline rematches happy.png
