It wasnt during the game, it was after i already beat him. He left without shaking my hand to think of something technical. If he was going to do that he should have done it while we were playing. Not after the fact.

@ Nicholas_Shannon80 .. that also applies to USCF .. TDs allow a player who is under 5 min. on his/her clock to stop notating moves in USCF-rated tournies.  Keep in mind that both federations do change their rules, on occasion.  The USCF has updated several rules in the past 5+ years, alone.  It's a good idea for serious tournament players to purchase and read a copy of the most recent rulebooks for USCF and FIDE play.  The USCF changes can be found with some research-digging on their website, which add to other rules and adjust some of Ken Ballou's column-listed rules (this is just an outline, not a full list).  It's also a good idea for anyone who owns a TD rulebook for either federation to make the necessary changes and additions to their copy of the current rules.

The rules are not really what's debatable here.  I think it's clear and we can all agree, trevinlmurray was clearly in violation of both USCF and FIDE rules.

Ok i was in Violation yeeeeah okay. lol. Doesnt change the fact that he lost. And anybody that would pull something like that doesnt have pride. I rather lose and take the L, go home and sharpen up than to take the win and sleep at night knowing i really lost that game...

And if your the type that would try to pull that in a lost position when you know your clearly losing then i have zero respect for you. None, no respect as a human being. Because that shows what kind of character you have. Its not the chess game its the PRINCIPAL! All that lets me know is, you will try to get ahead of anybody in life even if it means screwing them over to make a quick buck. Thats all that shows me. 

And thats not a good person. A person with good character would say "hey good game kid, you got me but next time write your moves, just word from the wise" You know, that'll be something cool, but no his face was extremely red from anger because he was a chess coach out in raleigh somewhere and some of his students were there so he couldnt lose in front of them smh... but its ok, like Bobby Fischer says "I don't believe in pychology, i believe in good moves" and if you beat me fair and square no cheating, screw what FIDE/USCF says about it cause i know i truly lost so i would tell you carry on to the next round have fun, even though if it were the other way around some wouldnt give me that same treatment. I'm just old school. You win, you win. People need to learn to accept when they lost, go back to the drawing board and come back even better. Cant cheat/screwing people over to get to the top in life cause you afraid of the next man getting ahead of you cause trust me, Karma will get you. 

You broke the rules, whatever lame justification you want to work up to convince yourself you're in the right, it doesn't matter.  The bottom line here is that you were the one in violation the rules, you are the cheater.

How did you beat him "fair and square" if you violated the agreed upon rules?  You didn't.  You broke the rules.  That's cheating.
