100% agree with everything you said.

Beginners think OR hear that rapid is best for improvement and just copy each other, but in reality if you play 5|5 min constantly you will improve much more because of increment , then playing 10|0 so officially blitz is better for improvement!

But I do agree with you , that it's not as popular and 10|0 is not rapid etc... I agree with you

So my point is it depends and not just rapid is better ....

You have more time to calculate your move. In blitz 5|5, you have to make your move within 5 seconds to add some time on.

5seconds better , then 0 seconds when you go to an endgame territory
