So even with half his knowledge you would still be a master. I think that's correct.

It definitely wouldn't be half his current rating. That would be too easy and it dosent work like that. If you knew half of all Carlsen's knowledge I reckon you could still get to NM. Maybe even IM. He knows so much stuff that is only relevant at super GM level that it is superfluous to 99% of us.
