illegal move Q

Me and my friends are casual players that play for fun (normally 5min games). I have a question about making a move that makes you in check. We are not pro players, sometimes were trying to play quickly and make an illegal move. My question is how do you play after the said move cuz obviously if he makes a wrong move im losing time on the clock. Usually we just go back to the illegal move but we lose so time. What’s your thought on it?

Officially, if you make an illegal move in blitz and your opponent catches it you lose the game.  Unofficially, you can do whatever you want.  If you immediately spot the illegal move, I would probably just undo it and make another move.  If a long time has passed, just play the position.

Undo it and add one minute to the other player's clock, as a refund for the time he lost, and as a penalty to the player who made the illegal move.
