Hi people, I'm in desperate need of help. For the past 3 weeks or so, I've been going down or staying the same in elo for the entire time. Why is this weird? Because before this plateau, I've been improving rapidly. You may be like, oh well u probably finally hit your actual skill level! No, I don't think that's the case. Because even in the 1800s I had like a 60-70% win rate in the past 7 DAYS. I had like a 7 game win streak at one point, while I was in the 1800s. That all changed one horrible day when I was 1895 and decided to play with a MIGRAINE...

Take more break

but dont take a break from chess entirely do puzzles but turn it to points losing rating is still discouraging. just taking a complete break can sometimes work, but really only if you can go on vaca or something and dont have other stresses.

Plateauing is completely normal, you can’t constantly be gaining elo. Don’t stress, just keep in studying hard and playing games.

oh and yeah, play with friends cause you can really hustle them, i literally lost intentionally to my friend twice, lost 16 elo, then completely destroyed him and gained 67. and just so yall know, if anyone jokes about 6-7 i am not responsible so dont try to sue me for the nuke that lands on your house.

You call 1895->1867 tilting? Wait till you fall 300 points like me in bullet. And you say you are plateauing while you stayed on the same rating for a week? Oh well, 1 year passed between 1400 and 1500 rapid for me.

Just stop and value yourself and your progress. I've never seen such a fast progress. Just play, don't care about your rating, and you'll eventually hit 1900 and 2000 too. And, winning and losing streaks are completely normal. You may win 10 games in a row one week, then lose 10 games in a row another week. And yes, playing with a migraine is NOT a good idea.
And tell me, what did you do to improve THIS fast?! It was unbelieveable to see you improving with this speed.

The last time I saw your account, you were around 1400 elo rapid. Therefore, you have grown a whopping 450+ points in 30 DAYS, which is INSANE. And you only lost 28 points; I went from 1400 to 1500 and then back to 1400 in bullet. Another time, I went from 1650 to 1720, only to come right back to 1650 rapid. But the important thing was that I reached new heights and I am now 1702 and 1870 rapid respectively. My point is that you should not be discouraged and I am sure you will reach new heights as well. Hope this helps!

yeah i mean, as i said before i got a massive rating boost but it was followed by a 6 month plateau.
