When I play white against K.I.D., I face problems like hell. Things became worse when I saw Kasparov defeating Kramnik with a Queen sacrifice! Help me out please. Thanks.

Where did you look for a reply?

Why? You afraid you wont beat Kasparov as white now?

Problem solved.

But seriously, do you have a sample game that you have played against the KID? You would probably get more responses.

Don’t play too aggressively, and try not to trade too many central pawns. SUPPORT THE CENTER AT ALL COSTS!!

A few years ago, there were a number of books with advice for White:

Starting Out: 1 d4! by John Cox (2006)

I think Cox, Watson, Schandorff, Kornev, and Kaufman advocated 1 d4 d5 2 c4 e6 3 Nc3 Nf6 4 cxd5 exd5 5 Bg5, while Burgess advocated 1 d4 d5 2 Nf3 Nf6 3 c4 e6 4 Nc3 Be7 5 Bf4.

Why should someone reply to a question made some three years ago (and the O.P. being away since 2,5 years ago) with an utterly worthless book list?

I'm afraid it is way beyond my understanding.

The best reply to King's Indian defense would be Prime Minister of Pakistan

Sorry. Didn't notice age of comments.

TwoMove

If someone can't find something against opening like KingsIndian, and similarly Modern with 1...g6, were black allows white to play virtually anything they like, you wonder if happy facing any opening.

You might try:  1.d4  Nf6  2,Nf3  g6  3.Bg5=  or 3.Bf4= the London System.  and they Black out of the book.

These walls of links are pointless even when they aren't addressing an ancient post.

kindaspongey: If you want to offer good advice, recommend one or two books and tell us what you personally found useful about them.  That would be helpful.  Posting a wall of links to seemingly random books is not helpful, it's just confusing.

If you say "this book is important because of thus-and-so," your audience will listen to you and appreciate your message. If you say "Every book is important" then you're saying you don't have a clue what really matters, and your audience will simply tune you out.

I suggest you take a look at the Torre attack.

There are plenty of suitable "Anti Kings Indians" that can get you into good games. I like the line with Ne2-g3, because if black plays "normally" he can get into a bind.

"The November 2017 issue of Chess lists the top twenty openings compiled from a list of 2402 September games where both players were rated over 2400 Elo. One can not take position on this list too seriously because it is greatly influenced by how the openings are grouped. For example, all the Retis are grouped together, while English is separated into 1...c5, 1...e5, etc. Nevertheless, for what it is worth, some of the list entries are: 126 Retis, 100 King's Indians, 97 Nimzo-Indians, 84 Caro-Kanns, 76 declined Queen's Gambits, 73 Slavs, 63 Catalans, 61 Najdorf Sicilians, 58 1...c5 Englishes, 55 Berlin Lopezes, 55 Queen's Indians, 49 Guioco Pianos, 48 1...e5 Englishes, 45 Kan Sicilians, 43 1...Nf6 Englishes, and 42 Taimanov Sicilians."
