the dancer:move like a king take two squares in any direction, jump over any piece near it. value 3
Imaginary chess: if you could invent a totally new piece to chess, what it could it be?

Bishook: Moves like a Bishop and a Rook combined.
That's a Queen.
and that's the joke

Jester/ handmaid: the two are the same peice, except the jester is next to the queen and the maid is next to the king, the twos goal is to protect the king, they can only move in rectangles, four by two, anyway, and can capture any peice in that range, but cannot move past half point on the board, they would be protecting/support peices as their main job (as I stated would be to protect the king)

Dame Queen (DQ) - Piece with queen movement and knight movement. Obtained when a pawn promotes after it captured at least 5 pieces.

The Bizarre Pawn - It moves normally, but when it comes to promotion, it has a few choices:
1: 2 pawns are available to be placed anywhere, except the back rank.
2: Promotion to Queen, Knight, Rook, or Bishop.
3: Promotion to the Impostor King, which cannot be mated or captured. It's a decoy basically, which tricks the opponent. The opponent won't be able to see which king is real.
4: Steal a piece of your opponent that can be placed anywhere anytime (Can't steal king)
5: Promotion to the Jet. The Jet is a piece that can travel like the Queen and Knight, and it attacks like that. It can also "bomb" opponent pieces, including the king. For the Jet to spawn, there must be 3 knights on the board.
6: Nothing! You don't need to promote at all.
Let me know if I should change something.

If you lost all your pawns, you can spawn a „commander“ at the starting square of the same file of the last captured pawn, if this square is already used by another piece, then it will spawn at the back rank of the same file of the last captured pawn, if this square is also already used by another piece, you have to make one of the squares free before you can spawn it. if both squares are available, it will spawn on the starting square of the same file of the last captured pawn. you can spawn it whenever you want, after you lost all pawns but you can only spawn it once and you need to waste a move for it. the commander moves like the king and can checkmate the opponent’s king, if it’s protected but it can’t promote. This could be an interesting variant.

- The piece consuming the drugs will be stunned, unable to move until one of their pieces gets captured (50%)
-The piece will become one of your pieces for 5 turns, but it can’t be a piece that will immediately put the opposing king in check (50%)
-Only works for pawns and knights
You can upgrade your drugs by sacrificing your pieces. You need 5 points of material to get to level 2 drugs, then 7 points of material to get to level 3, and finally 9 points of material to get to level 4.
Here are the effects for the level 2 drugs:
- The piece will explode in a 2x2 area (10%)
-The piece’s movement will be divided in two (doesn’t work for pawns, 5%)
-The piece will become one of yours for 7 turns (15%)
-The piece will return to its starting position, and it becomes your piece (This can be very useful in checkmating your unsuspecting opponent, 70%)
-Works for knights and bishops, it will work 50% of the time for rooks
Here are the effects for level 3 drugs:
- The piece will attack 3 other of its own pieces at random, if there are two of that piece or more then you can choose what piece to obliterate (33.33…%)
-The piece will explode in a 3x3 radius(66.66…%)
For the level 4 drugs, you can choose between these effects: (The drugs now become 4x as large)
-The enemy piece will move 4 times for you, and your opponent won’t be able to move at all during that time
-all of your opponents’ minor pieces will blow up in 3 moves (your opponent will know, and be forced to move them)
You can upgrade to Level 2 drugs on move 4, to level 3 on move 10, and to level 4 on move 20.
Note: I spent 60 minutes on this, so please don’t ignore it
By the way, I only made it a drug because I couldn’t think of anything else LOL
I got one: A knight that can either move like a pawn or a knight called the foal. It can still do en passant.
