They're immortal cuz people like me are still talking some of these 200 years after they were played Cool

When something is 'immortal', it is 'ever-lasting', and since we are still talking about it so long after it was played, it can be considered to be 'ever-lasting'.

Lol. Well, I guess u could say they were immoral because in all of these games the Queens are being a bit too flirtatious with the knights.... Wink

my fav game here is the kasparov v.s. topalov

Yeah, that game is pretty amazing. I love how topalov's king makes it across the board in the middle of the game! There were just so many beautiful moves played! Wow! And btw, I"m not entirely sure if that Morphy game is his "immortal". A lot of times it's just called the Opera game or Morphy's Mini-game. I've seen a few more of Morphy's big time games against his so-called "competition" (a.k.a. no one since he ruled the chess arena for so long).

I love that game too. Perhaps I will make it the first to commit to memory. It should enhance my capacity for visualization. Maybe I can install it into my chess dreams. You certainly have accumulated an amazing set of games. I will be sure to revisit soon. Thank You. Smile

The opera game was the first one I memorized. It's good because every move is logical with a clear cut plan Surprised

I think Lasker-Thomas went something like this.
