Impossibility of checkmate, but no draw?

Because chess.com does not use chess engines in every game to see it is not possible to checkmate. It follows the basic rules, such as checkmate, timeout, resignination, abandonment, insufficient material, stalemate, repitition, 50 move rule and agreement on draw. In these positions, you should offer a draw.
A question: this is a game I played against the 1500 computer (ruy lopez, berlin, rio accepted) where I'm white, why is this not an instant draw the second I made my last pawn move? Neither of us can checkmate, which by the rules should result in a draw, so why does the site allow us to keep playing until max moves or 3-move repetition?f
