Improve chess calculation for intermediates

Don’t just answer the title, read it all. I’m past the level where I hang pieces in one move or miss a fork or pin. So I’m alright at basic tactics for my level, but often I’m not able to do deep calculation in situations where there are no obvious tactics, specifically if it envolves pieces capturing one another. It’s like my brain simply forgets where a pawn is going to be mid calculation, or that a rook would block the king to go somewhere after a couple of moves. What can I do to not *forget* pieces or checks in deep calculation?

Look at your last game. You're still hanging material.

Dońt lie to yourself. You are still hanging pieces. Watch out for your opponent threats every turn. Yes, it takes a lot to time.

How to improve calculation? It’s very simple. Just solve as many puzzles as you can. Every day of course.
