Improvement

Hi, I am rated 1500 here and 1300 uscf. I consider myself decent at all parts of the game but not special. What should I do to improve? I know I should play as much as I can, and I do. But what should I study? Please let me know any tips or ideas, thanks. --jrcolonial98

In terms of improving the fastest per time spent:

Tactics training. A little every day is better than a bunch once a week.

Playing slow games, then going over them after with a strong player or at least a computer.

Find a level-appropriate book and play through it slowly. Don't just read it through, actually get out a board and play through every example.

Those three give pretty much guaranteed results.
