Improving your tactics

hitaman

Hi!

I want to start a discussion about chess tactics.

Recently I posted my first course at Udemy.

You can watch a few free videos from the course. If you like what you see – you can buy full course for a very reasonable price (approximately 12-25 minutes worth of a one-time private lesson). I would also appreciate reasonable feedback!

Hi, I'm a student of Hitaman for the last year. This is a great course and my tactics are improving after watching it and then applying the principles (see my tactics graph, I have improved 200 points recently and I'm steadily rising). From his lessons and the course I have learn't a completely new concept in thinking about tactics ("the key importance of the semi-protected pieces"). You will not regret watching this!

I like how a discussion turned into a full advertisement.

Hi! I am new to chess.com forum and I may make mistakes. If I have violated some rule then I open to learn (I would appreciate a link).

The discussion I want to have indeed relates to my course and tactics in general. I want people to watch free sample videos and let me know what they think about it. Also I would be happy if people like what I did and buy the course. I am also open to reasonable criticism.

Good course. I recommend it for anyone but very useful for new players.

Thank you! I appreciate that!

Sorry Applesman. Didn't mean it that way. I just liked it and put my bias straight out there. Any good resources you know of with good practical advice? .... i get tired of the same old rubbish of GMs trying to teach tactics when they have no understanding of how their own brains work. Just because you are good at something doesnt always mean you can teach it. Please discuss ......😉

Applesman opened his account today, posted some troll type comments on various threads, and then closed his account. I wouldn't worry about anything he said during his brief, but pitiful, chess.com career.

GM Oleksiyenko, your YouTube channel is excellent. Your explanation of corresponding squares is the best I've seen, and your videos on how to find the best move have helped me greatly.
