Yep, this is the right answer. Mine was for a joke. In my headcanon (I'm a freak that has a headcanon for chess. It's not that complicated tho just for why the pieces move like that and stuff) I like to think White is evil ( no racism here) bc it started the war instead of the usual black is evil.

this can easily be rectified by just designating a player to go first or second and randomly picking them white or black. then white or black can go first 50% of the time.

but chess.com is too racist for this.
