Indecent behavior
These type of people are not serious chess players. Insulting your opponent might be a way of upsetting your concentration. You can disable Chat however, I forgot how to do it.
I think there should be a trash-talk-welcome indicator. Trash talk is an absolute art while playing speed chess, and should not be banned. I would suggest a system that pairs "trash talkers", possibly also matching country or at least language, or allowing that as an option. Personally, I like some witty banter during blitz.
Here, though, all I seem to see is "You suck" or "Idiot" repeated over and over. I am well aware of my intellectual shortcomings - probably much more aware than anyone across the world, so I tend not to appreciate those simple-minded jabs, except as incentive to win the game all the more spectacularly. Still, if your opponent wants to waste time typing these silly remarks, you don't even have to read them. I say be thankful for the free extra seconds, and just concentrate on beating such people calmly, convincingly, and without any remark at all. Or better yet, checkmate them when you only have rook and knight against their entire army - that's my favorite method.

thats is the best suggestion i have ever heard for this site.
sometimes a blitz session is good not because of the chess you played but because of the trash banter u got involved in. v3 coming soon, just maybe...?

After many years of 'rolling the dice'...on playing someone who insults for no reason...now, the very first thing I do is delete chat. I don't care for your comments...only to make you suffer.

Although I also like witty banter, I absolutely must concur with the spirit of this response. Hear, hear!
Disabling chat is so cruel!
Whenever anyone does that to me, I play fast, get way ahead on time and my opponents cave in to time pressure. Sorry guys.
the chat feature is a great way to get to know folks a little, whilst enjoying chess. It's a shame not to use it

Just now I played a game with [Please don't use names - mod] of India. He was heaping unprovoked insults on me from the start of the game. He must be removed from chess.com!
