The Bongcloud opening was used in the movie Knights of the South Bronx (2005). Funny when Ted Danson said, 'hmm, that's an interesting move' re: 2. Ke2.
Might try it in Bullet or Blitz Chess.

Tsk, Tsk! trying to take credit for all of Lenny's hard work.
Lenny's hard work? Are we sure he did steal it?

Who's Lenny? I came up with the opening on my own! I must have used it in a game with this Lenny guy, and now he's claiming it as his own!

Found it:
True story: I actually saw someone play this in a tournament e4 followed by Ke2. He won quite a few games with it
The OP is a noob, he mispelled "invented" in the title., but all is forgiven because he posted the legendary bongcloud opening.

No, no, it's definitely spelled as intended.
Abhishek,on move 40 of both games, I fail to see white's compensation for his weak king. I am not sure why you didn't try the typical Kf2-Kg3-Kh3 maneuver, when white waits patiently until the 4th rank is open, and the king finally streaks across the h and g files.

The Spirit of Daeth lives on!

Oh yeah! I completely forgot! Wow I was completely losing in both games
Dude that's the Bongcloud and it's banned from tournament play since it's basically a forced win for white, where exactly have you been the last few years?
Oh no! It looks like this guy named Bongcloud (btw, what a horrible name!) has already claimed this opening as his own invention. I must have played the opening against him sometime, and he realized how amazing it is, and published it under his own name! What should I do now? Does anyone have any suggestions?
don't give up so fast, you can still invent an unknown sideline which can be named after you.
Hi everyone,
I thought that by sacrificing my queen in the opening I would be able to gain a strong positional advantage, but in the end I end up losing nearly every time.
If you studied the games of Napoleon (as you mentioned) you should clearly see where your fault was. It's very clever to sacrifice the queen in the opening. It has two advantages, first is, the surprise will be on your side. Second, since you have not to worry about this women anymore, you can go full force with your dangerous cavalry. Just feed your enemy... sorry I meant opponent... with the pawns in order to focus his force to the middle of the battle field. while he's busy with dealing with them ride deep into the opponents lines and go after the king. If this coward of a king is searching salvation in the open field send the rest of your artillery after him. You can even advance your king and let him strike the finishing blow himself.
Then again, you could always change your name to Benko, Ruy Lopez, Queen's Indian, or Bongcloud.
Then just claim it was named after you.
