Is 1. D6 a good move?

I like this move because I can transpose to Sicilian, Pirc and many others, depending... May be slowing my tempo?

Yes. Considering that in chess literature moves by Black when not given White's move are annotated like that 1...d6 I think it is the correct way to WRITE IT.

u bunch of morlons, 1.d6 is illegal ! Seen Magnus play 1.e3 though, think he even won
