Is 1000 a good rating?

The Rating system should start at 0. This should also be the threshold for GrandMaster.

It may be relevant to acknowledge that the two sites do not use the same rating systems. Chess.com uses GLICKO 1 and Lichess uses GLICKO 2. I'm not sure how much that factors into calculating ratings, but Lichess having a higher start rating apparently comes from the GLICKO 2 standard. If Lichess started you at 800 like chess.com instead of 1500, and they used the same calculations, then their average ratings might be more similar.

Yeah you will probably see my profile and say “he is only 400 points bruh? Why is he talking about 1000 points..!” Right? Then I am 1000 in lichess I don’t play that much in chess.com but i play many times in lichess so is 1000 points a good rating?

Play elo 2000 people and you will get demolished

that could actually work, with higher rating being worse

No. It's rubbish. 1k to 1.5 is beginner. 1.5k to 2K is strong club player. 2 to 2.5K you are interesting. 2.5k upwards you are a monstrosity.....

[Voted down 51 times at this point.  It is his opinion, however, and is not otherwise offensive.- jbf]

100 - 1.5k is beginner. Not 1k - 1.5k. Unless 100-1k is new to chess
