1500 on chess.com is indeed a good rating. Your USCF rating would be in the range of 1300 -1700 depends on how you play in the tournaments. I had a blitz rating of 1300 and when I played my first USCF tournament ended up the USCF tournament with a rating of 1380 so yes the chess.com is fairly accurate.
is ~1500 ranking on Chess.com good?

I personally do not think that 1500 is god awful. I am currently ~1600 strength USCF. However, I cannot, for the life of me break 1400 Standard or 1300 Blitz. Maybe it's because I suck at blitz, but still, online rating gives almost no indication of real strength (or at least is a relatively bad indicator).
Edit: I have broken 1500 blitz and now am 1650 USCF. Never mind that.
I haven't played OTB in four years, and I peaked in 8th grade at 1850 USCF, but I never really got much higher than 1750 on this site...then again, I pretty much only play blitz

when I was young and started playing chess, I really sucked. Now after many years, I am just a bad player. However thinks to chess.com, I am thoroughly enjoying the game, and I am constantly improving my strategies.

Let's not mix things. There is Live Chess rating and also Turned Based rating. The author of this thread was reffering to Live Chess where time is of the essence. I think TB chess has the most inflated scores. I can easily beat a 2000 TB Chess player in a 5 minutes Live Chess. I might say that TB chess ratings are with 300-400 points over Live chess ratings.
But I blitz my daily chess.

Hope clocky can remember posting that when he next logs on.

its up to you a person having 2500 rating may feel its low he should be world number 1 some people are satisfied by 1000 rating even

That's a really low rating for 1700.
So, since you give your real name, I looked you up on USCF to check.
Not surprised you stretched the truth a little

@ the 6 year old OP:
1500 is way above beginner, but way below someone who regularly studies for years.

lol

LOL...my current rating is 1717, with my top rating acheived of 1830...and I'm still hanging pieces.
I've only been playing seriously since I joined this site, so I know I'm really only a beginner...no matter what my rating says.
Yes, the rating here is inflated, and yes...lots of cheating is taking place. My focus is only to improve, so I don't pay attention to my rating...it's a worthless statistic.
That's what I've been doing cause numbers in this site are so much a waste cause I am not even rated in real life and am still unbeaten in Live chess from a week or so. The only reason I'm here and all of you have to be here is to improve chess.

I'm sorry, because this question may sound stupid, but... what do you mean by "cheating"? I mean... how cheats who cheats?
Another stupid question: what's the meaning of the so used "gg"? Thanks!
Using chess engines on the same device or other devices is cheating. You open droidfish if android play your opponent's moves in the engine, what the engine plays, that's going to be your move. Well I don't do that and check my ratings for that. Also I'm a blitz player.
And gg means " Good Game"

Good game
Averages
Turn based: 1333
Bullet: 1145
Blitz: 1097
Standard: 1300
That is weak, in chess club or over the board rating is roughly about 1500 uscf: I sure it is the same for FIDE.
