Is a 1900 guy good at chess?

I’ve been within striking distance of 1900 recently, but I still feel like I blunder every game. So… to me, I feel like 1900 is not great

yes ofc..1900 is really good and knows most of the basic stuffs like put ur knight in centre , bishops on long diagonals etc etc..
what needs to improve are endgames, puzzles and openings ( basically chess)

Hi,
1900 good hm, well 1900’s we have learned how the pieces move and a few good ideas we often play, but let’s not go thinking we can play chess properly, we still hang things, miss free pieces, forget basic pawn moves, put pieces on bad squares, forget to keep our king safe, and calculate so poorly we maybe aren’t even calculating at all sometimes. But we try to play better so maybe one day we can sit down and play the game properly, if we keep practicing the fundamentals.

I can go from 2200-2500 blitz and I think I am not that good and have a lot of room for improvement. However, at the end of the day what is good and what is not is all subjective. If we are talking percentiles, a 1900 blitz rating is like top 10 percent. so it is good.

But I still feel like a novice player though :/
I’m definitely not at that level, but just always respect your opponents as a better player than you. No matter their rating, and you’ll play better.

I tried, but I realized I was just playing extremely fast and didn't think that much. And I get frustrated every time I lose so it ended up me playing worse. It was an unrated tournament and I will probably play better if it was rated. Because I will get the stress.
In blitz/bullet, not at all. In rapid/classical/OTB, yes.

My rapid is 1960 too, but I never play classical. I just can't use more then 5 minutes on a single move, and that's a big problem.

I am close to 2000, but yes. I also think it will be pretty though to get over 2000...

I am still playing 10+0. I think I should switch to 15+10 after I reach 2000.
