Pretty sure you haven't seen this anywhere.

Physical fitness might slightly affect his rating, possibly 20-30 points, but not 200. That's absurd. Try going to gym and working out and see whether or not you see such a large improvement.
I remember reading about a GM who said his opponent lost 200 points for having a cold.
Physical fitness can make a HUGE difference in all intellectual pursuits.
Physical fitness? Then Kasparov should have been unbeatable. :)
Now seriously, I've always wondered what would happen if Karpov were his equal about that... remember their first duel.
Kasparov didn´t rate his own chances to win the first match at more than 50% (at the moment of the suspension).

Absolutly ridiculous. Physical condition affects your game of course, but even if it did make carlsen have a 250 point advantage then he would still be 2876.
My resting pulse is in the low 40s. Does that mean that my rating is higher than it would be if I was a lardarse?
superking, I just knew it was you when I read the thread title. You're trying soooo hard to make Carlsen less skilled than he really is & make some crackhead acting fool like Emory Tate better than him or Kasparov. Why?? Don't you think there are 2600 players that are in better shape than Magnus, I'm sure there are. Think about it while you ponder you're own chess abilities. Cough, cough all your ratings cough.
Why don't you consider learning more about chess so you won't have to keep posting these questions? Then you may be able to answer them on your own or you might just come to realize that they really aren't worth asking because you'll know better.
not what i said, but i saw someone else say it on another forum?
