IS CHESS A GAME OF MAN VS GOD?

Sort:
AyushiKrishnan

Is one side of a chessgame a representative of evil, while the other represents good?

Is it a duel between man and God?

Or is it symbolic of Good and Evil (the chessplayers) playing chess with human souls, (the peices)?

No, chess is just a board game. No philosophy involved.

I do believe in psychology in chess along with good moves so yes it is a symbolic of good and evil opponents targeting each others weak spots by I mean targeting each other's decision making completely throughout the game over 64 squares meaning getting into nerves to defeat the person so yes as metaphorical narrative apart from quality of chess and science behind it we can say it it is symbolic of good and evil

Chess drives you to the abyss, where you stare at a reflection of yourself, it is the crazy version of you where you have lost your mind over a beating by a low ranked player. When you are not looking into the abyss your heart is singing a tune so beautiful the Gods look down from the heavens to see which player has beaten a player 100 points or more elo above them.

This is chess.

Well, sometimes I play chess drunk

HazeShelovee

well it varies person to person where I can say it is emotional for lower rated players majorly and for higher rated player it is more about positional and tactical rather than emotional so if you let your emotions drive yourself I dont think that person can become good at chess so what I believe and I have seen among higher rated players they mostly dont care if they are beaten by highly lower rated player they do have good control over there emotions which tells chess doesnt only requires skills but strong emotional and psychological mentality and discipline

How long do I need to be in the shower to start thinking like this

HazeShelovee

you dont know the context maybe I didnt pinned the last guy I was commenting on his comment thats first thing 2nd its like emotion means playing some nf3 nf6 and haha I'm happy he talked about loosing games which hurts their ego and some thing like that and makes them play more and loose more especially higher rated loosing to lower rated so thats emotional
