Doesn't mean everyone that plays it is nerdy, but it certainly does attract nerdy people more so than the average joe.
That's a total BS argument. People used to think video games were "nerdy" too, but now almost everyone plays them. The only anti-social aspect of chess is that players are not allowed to talk during games, but that's hardly enough to call it an activity for nerds.
That makes no sense. Just because a lot of people play video games doesn't mean certain video games aren't nerdy.
Like I said look at the top chess players during social interactions. They're almost all literally nerds.
It is a nerdy game, however, you can be cool and a nerd at the same time.
Like it's possible to be a 120kg bodybuilder who looks badass, drives a sports car, has good social skills and enjoys chess.
Not all nerds look/act the same way.
