Chess is not a sport and anyone who says otherwise is probably braindead.

The International  Olympic Committee and over 100 countries recognize chess as a sport.

And physicality is included, technically, you move your fingers/hands and “exercise your brain”

And lets not forget reading. Reading this topic is also a sport as it requires the physical use of the eyes, not to mention using and exercising the brain.

Typing cannot be considered a sport due to no one being able to lose in it. There must be a victor and a loser in every sporting match. Chess has this and thus considered a sport.

TipsiTurtle you sure how about when you can not spell a word or what if you spell something wrong or if auo correct screw you up thats losing or incorrect grammer and punctuiaon see victor and loser

I don't understand what you mean by both comments. Chess is completely fair no matter which side you open on and a computer cannot "cheat."

The only argument I can see in chess not being a sport is a physical activity. Technically there is physical activity but alas, people won't take it like it is, eh?

no the typing game is rigged with auto correct the computer cheats by doing auto correct and messes you up

Have you ever gone bowling?  So, you reach down with your hand and you grab this big heavy ball, and you quickly walk up to the lane, and throw it at the ground...  

This is the 'physical activity' that encompasses the whole game of bowling.

Chess is a game also, but it does not have a "physical"(bodily) attribute to hone...
