I'd only have one quibble with your list (and ironically it is on one of the points that chess has it its favor):
Does strategy really need to be involved for it to be a sport? I wouldn't think there's much strategy involved in the 100m dash, but it clearly is a sport.
I mentioned air-rifle shooting earlier, which I'd agree with Optimissed that it falls into the category of sport, but it's one of those right-on-the-line things. A 400 lb man in a wheelchair can probably shoot an air-rifle (or play chess). So where exactly is the line between sport and game? Seems a little blurry to me.
