Decidedly, i am sure that my previous handful of games would have attracted uproarious laughter. Especially the back rank check with my King behind the f,g,h pawns (Ouch !!!!!!)

Yes, I believe chess is a funny game to play and learn. It helps you to acquire new friends, too.
