In my opinion yes, but it depends on how much you use chess .com's services. The lessons, drills, puzzles, videos, and the computer analyses all help improve your chess.
Is getting premium membership on chess.com worth it?

Is Chess.com subscription really worth it?
Please let me know
For me it's totally worth it. I enjoy going on little learning binges where I'll do dozens of lessons in a day. It's a rare day also that I don't do at least a few dozen puzzles (although usually unrated since I like to take my time). I also really enjoy analyzing the games I play. For me, while $100 is not a trivial sum, it seems a fair yearly price to pay for hours of daily amusement and education. I don't know what your chess interest level is like and I don't know your income level. If you're spending $100 every week or two at Starbucks, then there is no financial burden obviously. If the end of every month is a bit of a juggling act to come up with the cash for the rent, well; that's different. Only you know what your situation is and how much you love studying chess. Good luck!
Personally, I find it money well spent. Tactics Trainer alone is worth its weight in gold.
It doesn't weigh anything though.

Buying the Gold or Platinum would be enough, I think premium would be a bit of a waste because in platinum you already get unlimited Puzzles and if you really want to buy premium, make sure to use chess.com every day. On the other side, it's my point of view so these are only my thoughts.

They prolly shouldn't even let unpaid players play. How to pay the bills? Nothing free in this world. I rode on the free train for a long time, but in the end I did cough up some dough to help the site out, and I even bought a membership for a friend, although he never used it, so the membership went to complete waste. I think he does not like online chess. Whatever.
but if they don't allow new people to play for free, they cant stay more dedicated to playing the game, they're not some game company like Activision where they're only purpose is to make money, no, chess.com's purpose is to get many people into playing the game, not a sh*tty way to milk random people of their money. It's basically inconsiderate

The irony is that this guy isn't even a premium member himself.

You should only get Chess.com premium if you are a serious player that will use the training tools to enhance your game. The 3 best features are the Tactics Trainer, Game Analysis, and Lessons. Stick with the free plan if you just want to play games.
Best plan: The Gold plan is the best for most people as you get the most features for the least amount of money.
Absolutely not.
Chess.com has numerous issues in my view.
Bots galore.
You block people and are still matched against them.
In 30 second games, you can't specify a rating range. As a result, you can play people hundreds of points lower. You can win 14 and lose one yet lose points.
Lag on devices.
Copy and pasted responses on the app stores.
If you verify your title you’ll get premium membership for free (lifetime)
