Right, when is Chess.com going to release that new update? It would be enjoyed by llamas everywhere who want to enjoy their favorite pastime from their homes!
A lot of chess youtubers start their channels because they're passionate about chess, but as they start getting more views and getting more popular and getting money they sort of "sell themselves" (not judging, everyone's gotta hustle and I would probably do the same in their shoes, but just saying) so the quality of their content declines over time.. and that happens to youtubers in any area, not just chess....
As far as being overrated, I mean, he's an IM and a pretty strong one at that, he would completely crush anyone that posts on this forum, but then again he's also not as super strong as some of his fans seem to think he is (and that's to be expected), so due to some of his fanbase he can be a little overrated...
And as a streamer he seems to appeal to the masses, and quite successfully so, but I tried watching him and for me he's just too much, sucking up too hikaru (who's also quite annoying to watch, but plays really exciting chess) saying he's a chess god or whatever and that just didn't cut it for me, and even though he did get a lot of help from chessbae he definitely has his merits to be where he is, and he seems to be a genuinely great guy, so I think that he deserves the success and as a youtuber I don't think he is overrated, but I much rather watch Bartholomew, Dania or Rosen
