Im wondering about your opinions guys, now days im not playing chess that much due to work and life . So my rating is 1600 and im 25 years old and i either want to quit or practice seriously to improve and get high rating with titles. Is it possible to get it? Or there is no more guarantee to improve after that age ? Cuz i dont wanna waste time so how do you think about this case

Honestly, if you like chess, you can keep playing. Follow your passion.

You can still improve after 25. It's actually fairly young.

Just don't mess up your life in general, and you'll be fine.

I think the CM title is doable for the majority of players with lots of hard work and access to classical tournaments. You just gotta buckle down, and study. Good luck! 💪

Well when i say title i mean improving and being a strong so that you will participate nice chess tournaments

Your best bet would be to reach 2000 fide and then play a tournament that grants the CM if you have a good performance enough.

Although even that is going to be very difficult.

Depends on the person some improve some don't the main issue with age is you have other things like jobs children other than being able to learn really fast have a lot of free time and nothing to do so they get good faster than most adults

I think you prob could get a title like cm if you try maybe 1-10 years depending on how much you improve but yes it is possible

Your age is not a problem if you want to acquire one of the lower titles like CM or FM(a little harder) or your local NM maybe. In reality majority of those low titled players are chess amateurs and they are not very good at chess if you compare their skills with professionals.

Age isn't a problem. The problem is YOU. Whether YOU can do that? Nobody knows.

Worth to mention that it would require a lot of work and dedication. Are you ready for that? Give yourself that answer.

"is it late to get title in chess" ++ Late? Yes. Too late? No.

"im not playing chess that much due to work and life." ++ That is a problem.
If you want a title, then you have to work a few hours per day playing and analysing.

"my rating is 1600 and im 25 years old"
++ If you can sustain improvement +100/year, then you reach 2200 hence CM title in 6 years.

"i either want to quit or practice seriously to improve and get high rating with titles"
++ If Chess is no fun to you, then quit. It has nothing to do with titles.

"Is it possible to get it?" ++ Yes, but with hard work.

"there is no more guarantee to improve after that age ?"
++ At age < 18 it is easier, but at 25 you still can reach the CM title.

"i dont wanna waste time" ++ What is wasting time? Time passes. When you spend time and have fun, then that is time well spent. What has a title to do with it?

Aim for 2200 rating.. When you achieve it, you can think of Title.!Or.just enjoy the game.

1600 is doable it just takes work

You've played about 400 games on this account. Make it more like 40,000 and you have a chance if you're talented. But then again you would have no life if you did that, so it's all about your priorities. So I guess either quit or make a lifelong commitment to answer your. question.

If you want a womens title just play like for a couple months and you'll get it in the mail lol

"If you want a womens title"
++ Female titles WCM, WFM, WIM, WGM are easier indeed than CM, FM, IM, GM

I've seen wcms on this site at 1600 rapid lmfao crazy stuff

First off, you're 1500 here on chess.com. That translates to maybe 1200 FIDE.
Second, even if you were 1500 FIDE, that's way to low to hope for a title. You'd have years of gruesome training ahead of you to even sniff a title, even the "easiest" ones.
Forget about it and go on with your life. Chess will only be a hobby for you.

If you can profit from the grift, why not?
