Probably impossible. GM’s are super smart, and they are smarter than 100,000 college students. And you would have to study a lot of openings, visualize 100 move games and remember them forever (That’s what magnus does). Overall, it’s probably going to be impossible.

Can you memorize hundreds of different variations of openings? Can you visualize the whole board in the head and analyze tons of variations? If yes, in maybe about 7-10 years you could become a GM, at least an IM. Play a lot of chess, though. Go to OTB tournaments.
