Of course it is. But it's easier to do with a coach since they can more easily identify your weaknesses and show you how to correct them.
Is it possible for me to reach a NM level without a coach???
I made NM without a coach. You're in my group, follow my program. It's simple, fun, the best on the market, and it's free!
I like aww-rats's program. I have watched a few of his videos and it got me back into playing correspondence chess.
rats is doing all potential NMs a very big favor. In fact he is doing a very big favor for anyone who inspires to be a NM.
Kudos!
You can go all the way up to GM without coach.
Doubtful. Please name some GM's that didn't have any coaches.
Yes it is, but it takes a lot of hard work. I am trying to do so right now, as reaching NM is my life goal for chess.
thx everyone
@aww-rats I'm still having trouble following the main part of your program; analyzing my games after I finish. Does this mean I play my game over again from move 1 and see what I could have done better. Thanks everyone!

Yes, exactly. Play your game over and staqt moving the pieces around and find better moves. It just takes practice.

good luck! submit your games in the thread or games analysis in our group forums. You don't have to have perfect help, (ie computer analysis) just tear your games apart and learn bit by bit.
I practice everyday and try to get better but there are so many people much better than at my same age.
Im wondering whether or not I will be able to reach Class A or Class B without a chess coach. I am currently a 1460 USCF...
