Apparently they believe this sort of thing in parts of California...
psychic chess masters

So I'm not saying it isn't true but I did some research and this psychic missed the mark in 5 seconds.
quick video.
I think there is some connection between people that isn't totally understood. Or is it that so many coincidences that people have in life are really just totally random?

"Psychics" are all frauds. NONE have ever been able to demonstrate any powers at all under controlled conditions, even when they were allowed to dictate the conditions. It's fraud, bunkum, a scam.
So, NO.
I knew you were going to post that
So are you omnipresent across all time and space?
Do you have a complete list of studies and experiences?
Can I see some links, references, etc...?

Yes, the ability to see the future in a game of chess is known as calculation...

As a psychic chess genius I believe I can answer to OP question. Yes, there are psychic chess masters. For example I could forsee that I was gonna lose the game to a guy who was 1890 at the time. The vision grew stronger after 10 moves, when I was already two pawns down. At move 34 I could forsee that he was gonna mate me in three and that was exactly what happened.
I guess you haters can't explain that with your sciencee-experimentruos-controlled-conditions stuff...

If there are any real psychic chess masters, they can win a million dollars:

@OP - No/Not really. I think the possibility is so minute that one could consider it impossible. If there were any, we would've likely heard about that player's psychic ability.

Its in the realm of possibility, but I personally don't believe in psychics, chessmasters or no.
P.S.Please use my beliefs to change the topic of these topic as it is a fully legitimate one.

actually someone has won the lottery with their psychic abillity. Not once, not twice, but three times before the FBI arrested him for fraud. When he explained that he had a feeling of where and when to play and they could prove nothing the federal government banned him from ever playing the lottery again. He's from Boston and won several million dollars each time.
Give us a link to a reputable site (for example, the NY Times) that reports this.
I will use my non-psychic powers to predict that you will not be able to find any such site, but you might find an article at a tabloid like http://weeklyworldnews.com/ or some random "I want to believe" person's blog.
I've heard of people winning the lottery multiple times, but i don't recall any of them claiming it was psychic ability.
There are many psychics in chess.com, all they predicted that Carlsen gonna crush Anand easily in november. Of course, all they aren't psychics but fanboys...

ucanthandlethetruth, if you're curious about human cognition in general I suggest a book like "On Intelligence", or if you are interested in the deeper question of what it takes to have a system that has the properties of consciousness and self-awareness then read "Godel Escher Bach".
"Science" was not able to measure empathy in plants.

Do you personally believe it is within the realm of possibility that there are chess masters who win because of their ability to see into the future or read minds? And if so, do you think the odds are high or low that such players exist, or will you simply not speculate?
I don't believe any organism is capable of "reading" anothers mind, we can assume or attempt to deduce things ....

someone explain to me why anyone would consider science so advanced that there's nothing left it hasn't explained. This is ridiculous, we havn't even discovered all species of plants and animals on our own planet. Science needs to create a wheel barrow large enough to carry it's own head. Repeat after me "I don't know", this is what a real scientist says in these cases.
Yes, they would say "I don't know" when faced with an issue for which the empirical evidence was unclear.
They wouldn't say, "I don't know, therefore it must be psychic ability."
no there is a better explanation. these guys have extraordinary memory and powers of visualization. they are certainly not 'psychic' whatever that word means.
