Just hearing about this one.

But i have to wonder is this a warning not to do it as has tried to see if it works and the results were painful. At a high velocity he will have made a circular trench around the tree say 5 miles deep and stuck without water and food and worse no .......

More like the old classic:

There was a young lady named Bright,
  Whose speed was far faster than light;
  She started one day
  In a relative way,
And returned on the previous night.

Oh, and who's been stealing the damned nutrinos?

Solar neutrino flux. Based upon our current understanding of fusion reaction rates, it appears that only 70% of the neutrinos emitted by the sun make it here to earth.

Wasnt there a wc match where psychics were hired or accused of messimg with one of the players? Maybe Korchnoi vs Karpov? Seems like I read it somewhere.

Yes, it was Korchnoi vs Karpov, as I recall.

Yes, but all that was part of the psychological battle, neither player believed any of it.

How do they know they didn't believe any of it?

Belief isn't as simple as them thinking that they didn't believe any of it.

How do you know that Estragon doesn't believe that they didn't believe any of it?

Macotif

He said that "neither player believed any of it." So I'm going on what he said. Just like he was going on what they said. Or so he said. Undecided

Being someone so skeptical and "prove it" oriented, surely Estragon has some evidence to back his por her claim?  Otherwise it would seem a bit hypocritical to demand proof from everyone else, but then make fuzzy unbacked speculative claims his/herself.   Estragon?

Or perhaps testostrogen

I think Estragon is a bad speller... I sure they meant Estrogen.

What's with the insults, people?

Reflectivist asked for more proof, that should be enough.

People insult others by mocking their names. It might not be a big insult, but it would be an insult nonetheless.

And to think you were the one concerned about trolls...

For sure he is very concerned about himself.

TheGrobe

You mean those who call out your general hubris and hypocrisy?

TheGrobe

You say that as though you haven't thrown any perjoratives.
