As for telepathy, there is no direct evidence for this.
People do take certain things, like telepathy, and try to turn them into something that they most likely can't or won't ever be. Sex is another human function that people fantasize about and it is also depicted on a level that isn't generally realistic. The sad thing is, these types of things are generally stereotyped to the point that people lose sight of what are acceptable expectations for reality, as it comes to pass. Also, there are those who don't want some people to discover their true nature and abilities and others who would abuse these gifts, if they understood and knew how to unlock them.

I should have said no direct proof.. there is some evidence, such as retrocausality interpretations of consciousness of Benjamin Libet's work.
I always hated when I walked into a situation and knew someone was mad at me and why, even before they said a word.
I can sense things like that, coming from a mile away. I used to call off work just to avoid facing an ex-boss. I would know hours before I went to work what he was thinking. Without sounding as if I'd ran from my responsibilities, it was my way of putting the ball back in his court, when had "dropped the ball", and it had landed into mine and then after seeing the potential fall out, he had decided to push the problem onto me to deal with.
Also, when working with someone else, some people have to have everything explained that I think, in order to coordinate activity. With others, we could do it almost without speaking to one another. Experience, skill level and time working together have been factors, but I find some people are simply more adept at " knowing what each other are thinking ". In my mind, it is because they tend to think alike, or as it is said, are on the "same wave length".
One of my favorite areas of study are the conjunctivity of the electrochemical process of the brain, spiritual influence of others ( school spirit, peer pressure, temptation to do wrong, etc) and brain waves being affected by like frequencies, from outside sources.
I have intuitively suspected, but have never read that the CIA, US Military and KGB have experimented heavily with the use of mind control through radio frequencies. It is rather straight forward for me, your brain waves have a frequency, they are emitted and can be detected with instrumentation. We send radio frequencies that encode sound waves and recieve them, unencode them and we hear it come out of speakers as songs and conversations from the radio. It stands to reason that similar technology and research could be coupled to dechipher the thoughts of humans. Imagine the implications of espionage, interrogation, trial testimony or general population control ? While I like the idea of some applications, it is rather frightening to think your brain could be controlled by the government. I think this is why that this subject has been kept hush, hush for so long, yet continually depicted in sci-fi films, etc.

I'd be pissed if you blew off work as well. I wonder if you don't have your cause and effect the wrong way around here. At a minimum, there's no way that ameliorates anything.

grub, you don't know me or who I have worked for, you have no right to judge me....the man should have considered himself lucky I didn't resign.....go suck a maple tap....

It's because you're both (purportedly) Scottish, isn't it? Isn't that some sort of Highlander thing?
There can be only one!

Also, I have 100% accuracy guessing whatever number I'm thinking of. I know it is a gift because when I ask others what number I'm thinking of they almost always guess wrong.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news nameno1had, but this is symptomatic of schizophrenia. But then again, not everything is known about schizophrenia as psychiatry is an incomplete science. So maybe you were/are psychic?

It's all mind over matter. I don't mind, and it don't matter.
