Actually, wars have cease fires on holy days and often respect funerals and mosques. There is an appropriate time for killing.

Remind me not to play this guy.

Well, he is LightYearz away...imagine having a postal correspondence game with him.

Chicken_Monster

I just saw some guy asking everyone to please grant him a draw since he had to go on vacation. I told everyone not to do it. He blocked me. His posts were nuts anyway.

Chicken_Monster

a game of war ... yet a sport ... that doesn't make sense to me.

December_TwentyNine

Well hunnie allow me to recall his comment.

LightYearz wrote:

Who cares about politeness in battle.

Chess is a game of war.

There is no being polite in war.

Kill or be killed in this dominant sport.

Peace.

It seems to me, that he takes chess very seriously...except in that one thread he posted, asking the forum whether or not his game "made you laugh." It was only "funny" because, as I had pointed out on his thread, that his opponent made more blunders than he did, and he got him in an Escalator Mate. See it for yourself. http://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-analysis/does-this-game-make-you-laugh

So in conclusion, for LightYearz to create a thread calling one of his chess games "funny," then come to this thread and say that chess is "war" and "kill or be killed," just seems not only contradictory, but out-right insane!!! Then he ends his comment with "Peace!!"

God have mercy on the poor unsuspecting sap that would dare cut this guy off in traffic...ouch...

Sire. You should be aware that your post has the potential to start a flame war. Is this correct.

Chicken_Monster

No, not trolling. I also share the philosophy that "chess is war."

Let me share another philiosphy to which I subscribe. If you call people names online (while hiding behind your keyboard) that you wouldn't dare say to their face, then you are a coward and know nothing of real battle.

Ah! Good point, Chicken. Thanks for clearing me up on that!

Why one would resort to such violence, over ??? anything really, is also something I don't understand.

Who the fudge said anything about violence? Safety is a ref to Mental Safety.

He'll get too smart if he listens to me.

However, he seems to keep on just asking more annoying questions.

So I thought I'd leave an appropriate line.

But my lord! How does one expect to learn, if they don't receive tutelage? You'd be very kind indeed, if you were to show Chicken Monster the ropes, and enlighten him, he would be very happy!

Fudge? I just find social psychology fascinating. The subject is exhibiting classical symptoms of Internet road rage. A paradigm wherein people who are not powerful in real life suddenly become more powerful when behind a keyboard or in a car. He knows that if he were to call me those names to my face, he would not like Part Two, and he would never do so. There should be a name for it. Cowardice. Internet road rage. Insecurity. Anyway, thank goodness he stopped for my "safety." Phew!

Yes. I see you removed all your comments. You must have realized that you threatened the Chicken Monster. Now with an alias like that, I wouldn't want to mess with him myself!

Right.

Chicken_Monster

That was quite a game. You were lightyears ahead of your opponent, who was probably six.

BLACK_STAR_RIDER

just be aware that your opponent might find a way to stalemate, as the game continues. otherwise, get them Queens, it`s good to have internet, as my board only got one extra Queen... Surprised
