is matchmaking broken?

Here is my situation: I vs a few 900's here and there, which I mean is only a 200 difference, I am 1150 not trying to flex just saying for this post but lately I been matchmaked against crazy players, infact after my last game I knew I had to make this post. This all started a few days ago I was versing a 1500 yeah a 1500 at the time I don't even think I broke 1100 and surprisingly I won, then a 1600, and surprisingly I won again, so pretty crazy I beat the 2 highest elo players I been in a rated game with, well until now today I was matchmaked with a 2000, now obviously I lost, but I lost 0 elo and she gained 1 elo. she only had 13 games played on her account and played like a 2400 (bit suspicious), but I ain't here to accuses anyone also I just really don't care as much because who am I to know if she cheated or not *shrug*, so yeah I ain't actually mad to be honest I like it because 1 I don't lose like any elo and 2 if I win then big gains and 3 I learn a lot, like she played really well 97% accuracy, while I had 77% accuracy a few moves I knew I shouldn't have done so it's good I am learning from that for example I took a piece with a pawn I knew immediately after I knew I should have taken it with my knight because it was like a nicer square than my knight was on, and it was the best move, anyways just wanted to tell y'all if you were experiencing anything similar or if it's just me.

Matchmade against a 2000? Either it's a bug, or you played a custom game without knowing

The default random seek parameters are Any above and Any below the current rating. So it's possible to have that kind of pairing.

It doesn't happen to me, that's why I think the creator probably is playing on custom settings without knowing

Just spat my coffee out reading that opening post, an 1150 player doesn't want to flex cry

I am not trying to flex a 1150 rating to most it isn't even impressive what I am saying is I mentioned my rating for the point of this post and I didn't want come off like "yeah me being a 1150", which sounded like I am bragging I don't know

chessplayer_king1
