It's just the name and social awkwardness that I think make him such a target for ridicule. I've met him a couple times and he's a nice enough guy. "Charismatic" is just not a word I would use to describe him, quite the opposite. And if you aren't going to be giving exceptional insight into chess, then I think you should at least be charismatic. I'm not one to talk, though. I don't give very good first impressions IMO, and no way should I ever have a youtube channel where I tell people to do anything.
is mike kummer really bad at chess or just have many haters?

So Cote, was I right or not when I spoke about impersonation. The best thing is you're licking staff's backyard and I'm not, still I got it instantly and you didn't. Didn't prevent you from trying miserably though, the question is, will you bang your drums or stay silent for once (and all)?

I dont know why they dissapeared. He is still here (saddly, lol)
Earlier one may have been a fake account closed by the Support or Moderator teams: the one in this thread was definitely an impersonator, and I have actioned that one as well.
I like Mike Kummer's videos. They're entertaining and appealing to lower rated players which encourages viewing. Most Grandmaster videos are over the head of and downright boring to the majority of club players who are not interested in complicated computer analysis....The real issue here is whether you would want your children or grandchildren to participate in a game where such hostility and lack of civility is acceptable?
