By becoming premium member in 'Fide Online Arena' you could get official online fide rating. But if I go for a real fide rated tournament or any other such tournaments do I will be called a rated player or will my online rating will be given any prominence.

An online fide rating is right up there with infomercials.  It looks good, and makes things easier, but in the end, its a pile of junk.

I think it's about attracting people. Most of us love those things. Like the colour belts in some martial arts.

It's not entirely useless.  Your non chess playing friends will be very impressed if you get a title.  You don't have to tell them it's an amateur title with much lower requirements than the real deal.  And having an official FIDE membership and card would be kind of cool.  You just don't want to walk into a real tournament and expect it to mean anything.  And they probably wouldn't laugh at you unless you introduced yourself as a master; I got a little carried away, sorry.

Thanks for the reply.

If you genuinely like the site, by all means. But it's just another online rating. Don't pay up for the prestige. That's what they want :-)
