Is rapid a good time control?

I used to play blitz, but I lost 300 rating points because I kept losing on time.
I was thinking TOO MUCH!!
So, I switched to rapid, specifically 10 minute games. I went from 635 to getting stuck at 670-700, but last weekend I got to 700, and now I am at 740 (approximately)
If I keep winning my games, and keep PLAYING chess games, should I start to switch to blitz? Or should I stay at rapid for a bit longer?
Or should I do something else?
Please let me know in the comments if rapid is a good time control for me.
