Is stock fish suspicious?

Those discussions are welcome when they are about the functionality, but the other sites don't need to be named for that discussion to take place. Moderators will remove those references to other sites.

Hello, I just wanted to ask a question about the engine stock fish:
On chess.com the best first move for stock fish is 1.e4 with +0.6 and the second is Nf3 with +0.3.
However, on another site, stock fish always recommends 1.Nf3 on the first move. How is this possible?!
Engines will recommend different moves depending on many things. Some simple ones are how long you let them think, and what kind of hardware they're using.
But more importantly, chess engines aren't designed (and lack the raw power) to play well in the opening. No experienced analyst will care about an engine's evaluation on move 1. Of course it's fun to see what the engines like, and it's ok to be curious, but what an engine thinks on the first move is nothing more than that, a curiosity.
