Is the FIDE Rating System still broken?

Evidence accumulated over the past 5 years (before and after FIDE's rating compression in 2024) proves that the discrepancy between federations is on the order of hundreds of points.

When the same rating means different things depending on your location, the entire system is breaking down. FIDE is slowly starting to realize that their changes in 2024 were more of a quick fix than a permanent solution that stops rating deflation. I spoke to Ben Johnson about this at length on the Perpetual Chess Podcast.

Let me know if you would like a more in-depth breakdown of some of the findings. Will be happy to share more of my analytical work stats

What do you believe, is your OTB rating accurate or do you trust your Chess.com number more?

I believe that there is not point to compare ratings obtained in different chess communities using different rating systems

You misunderstood my question. I was asking whether you (or anyone else reading this) find your rating on your Chess.com profile as being more representative of your "true strength" as a chess player compared to your OTB rating (could be FIDE, USCF, DWZ, ECF, or anything else).
For example, consider someone who is extremely busy and plays only 1 OTB tournament per year, but plays a lot of games online. It's natural to consider the online rating as being more up-to-date and therefore more representative.

Ok, but how does it make FIDE rating be broken?

Just listened to the podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope FIDE will be open to collaborating with you to make some, seemingly, needed changes/updates. Happy Chessing! ♟️

I wrote a book about it, which you can check out at https://vladchess.com/rating-revolution. If that's too much work, you can listen to the podcast that I linked to in the main post explorer
