Is there a reason for Alireza missing the Rapid and Blitz tournaments?

Alireza won one of chesscom's titled tuesday tournments today, which reminded me: why is he not playing the world rapid/blitz?
It's not like he has a candidates to prepare or something and hes even playing in minor blitz competitions
Is there a likely reason I'm missing for this to make sense or is he kinda throwing away some chances to get some silverware in prestigious tournaments?
