Yes, me!
Is there a young chess player who can equel Magnus?
I've heard this guy is pretty good

I doubt we will ever see another player as strong as Magnus.
Im sure they said the same for Capablanca,Fischer,Kasparov blah blah theres always someone coming out of the wood works and with technology and all these other resouces and exposure for chess theres GM stregthn players produced like every year

I doubt we will ever see another player as strong as Magnus.

Yep. You can say one thing in favor of the Magnus strongest ever theory though...if tech and cheating wind up ruining chess, perhaps no one will try as hard in the future. Who wants to compete against the Ivanov style player?
Well first the young player should probably learn how to spell equal correctly before challenging carlsen.

I believe in terms of skills Kramnik is the top contender now. His performance has been consistent throughout. He was beaten by the peaked Anand before, but I don't think we will ever see that same Anand again. Kramnik is our best bet at the moment.
Maybe this guy? -->Link

I can't argue that its not speculation, but I think Magnus will really put the other legends to shame in time. His technique is just incredible and he is still getting better.

Fabiano Caruana:Isn't scared to give carlsen a fight and wins some major events like carlsen
Sergey Karjakin:inconsistent against 2750s players at times but when hes in shape he's been able to go thru 2700ish tournaments with near perfect scores sometimes having better scores than carlsen.
Ruslan Ponamriov: no push over and is still to young to count him out but to say he can beat carlsen is overestimating him I think
Anish Giri: Doubt he poses a real threat to carlsen but he has destroyed him once (miniature win agaisnt carlsen) but will have to catch carlsen on a bad day most likely
Wesley So: His motivation/desire to win has been enough to help him go toe to toe and evne overcome 2700ish players and has never played carlsen so would have slightly more confidence over the others listed here since he can say he never loss to him and even reached the 2700s himself once.

I know the one player who's better then everyone here and better than Magnus! Do you want that guy's name?
Ok here goes:
John Daniel Bakradze! Lol
Serious Answer:
I think only if Kasparov would be still young he would beat Magnus, but seriously, no ones better than Magnus ``NOW`` but there will be someone later, No ones been a champion forever! Still someone`s gonna beat Magnus! Am I right, Am I right?
yes This is what i was saying. in the future who do you think will take the title from Carlsen and hold it. what about we yi? something like that could he do it? he is about 14 right?
Magnus Carlsen is very strong. i would say Garry and Bobby would be better, but who can tell? anyhow is there any modern chess player who could equel him? there are a few who might do it....but what do you think?
