Is there any Asian could become world champion?

Well that was my point.
Dozens are in that category and many more are appearing every year.
You keep changing your point. Many every year? How many new Chinese or Indian GMs have there been this year?
Answer: 2 from each country in 2017.
2 is "many".

So you want to stick with "500" (out of about 1500 GMs) as top? Great...let's check the facts at live2700.com...
China GMs in top 500: 20
India GMs in the top 500: 19
So if you COMBINE them, and call the top 33%, the top, yes, you finally have "dozens".

Ah interesting. FIDE groups Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Russia as being part of the European zone, while they class China, India, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan as part of Asia.

Nakamura moved to USA when he was 2.I don't think you can count him as Asian. He is certainly much more American than many Americans.
Of course Nakamura is American...but what Americans is he "more American" than? What does that even mean?? How is one person "more American" than another??
You ignored this one, Deirdre. What did you mean?

Deirdre, it seems that you have a habit of making false statements, then when asked about them, attack on a personal level. You have made several false statements in this thread, then followed by saying the following to me:
- "Obviously you don't know how to count. "
- "Do you understand English?"
- "Easy for anyone with slight intelligence to understand that I mean"
- "are you going to bore me to death"
You are extremely combative. Perhaps people might react to you less negatively if you were less insulting, condescending, and self-righteous? Just a suggestion. Obviously, you are young. Your social skills will improve with time. Your intellectual and analytic skills might as well, if you work hard on it and pay attention to facts, instead of just making them up, like you did in this thread.

I am not tracking this topic, but don't Indians and Russians technically count?
Petrosian, Karpov and Kasparov were born in Asia, but I guess FIDE goes by country not continent.

You are the one coming here with the attitude of the professor trying to correct everything I said no, just your "alternative facts" , even what obviously didn't need any correction( "Deirdre is right except when Deirdre is wrong" yes, they needed correction...you were pointificating with things that you were just making up, and you were insisting other "How is one person more American than other" can you answer that? you are the one that said some people are "MORE AMERICAN THAN OTHERS"...sounds offensive to me!) adding nothing , not even one comment , constructive other than the FACTS that I provided to replace the number that you made up off the top of your head to prove someone else wrong... ok. you are making a fool out of yourself now. and even insulting the OP("What a stupid trollish question"). a troll is a troll.
It is not my problem that you are unable to accept answers that perfectly fit the tone of your questions(quite typical of old people).
You want better more polite answers?Do better more polite questions. Do better more English.
But you are obviously old and you are obviously about 12. and unfortunately there is no chance that your social skills will improve with time.

On the internet, every thread eventually just turns into two people screaming "You're stupid!" "No! I'm not stupid, you're stupid!"
Actually, I think Deirdre is EXTREMELY clever. Once I questioned a few of her facts, she made a bunch of smokescreens, attacking me several times on a personal level to avoid admitting simple factual errors.
But yes, she called me stupid several times, yet she apologized to you, not to me. How strange!...here they are again:
- "Obviously you don't know how to count. "
- "Do you understand English?"
- "Easy for anyone with slight intelligence to understand that I mean"
- "are you going to bore me to death"

Godwin's Law?

It is hard to tell who are Asians and who are not. Kasparov was born in Sovjet, Azerbadijan as an Asian, I think he moved to Europe (Moscow?) and finally to Europe , Croatia. So I guess he is an European.
Asians living in Vladivostok I will count as Asians even if they play in the European championship.
Asians living and playing in Europe I count as Asians if they still have their citizenship in an Asian country, bur if they have sold their flat in Vladivostok and bought one in Moscow, and are registered as Moscow citizens, then its hard to tell if they are Asians or Europeans. I think the best answers we get if we ask them.
If Bu wins this World Cup tournament he also can take the Candidates and is a powerful contender to Carlsen. He is the first player for a long time that has been able to defeat Magnus in a match (more than a single game).
"If Bu wins this World Cup tournament he also can take the Candidates and is a powerful contender to Carlsen"
Hardly :-) He is 50 Elo from the top ten and even if he could repeat the sensations of Kasimdzhanov and Khalifman he wouldn't be more of a contender for the "real" World Championship than they were after winning the knockout. He is older than for example Radjabov and Nakamura, and I don't see him ever getting close to the top ten. Winning one game against Carlsen and winning the Candidates are two quite different matters :-)
Bu was actually higher ranked when he played Sofia almost ten years ago (#22 then and #35 on the current rating list):

Bu is one of the all time supertalents, maybe he has done some good work the last year?
The one that drops rating does it because he lose games, if you lose a game , an inefficient thing has been revealed, and after fixing that , strength gets better. Imagine a 2715 getting better strength!
Magnus will of course be favourite next time they meet. He lost and grew stronger.
Bu has perfect age, ca. the same as Aronian.
