Buy a better mouse.

Use chess.com's pre-move setting. Tongue Out

I don't know if there really is a good way to improve in bullet. Maybe go more with instinct when you play, instead of studying the board and playing the best move?? And, of course, the more you practice the better you get.

Aaaah no!

Figure if you make 1 move per second that is 60 moves. So these games are 40 - 60 moves in a game. In order to prevent losinng by time out consistantly that is your goal. Moving that fast is going to creat mistakes for anybody. Blunders if your new to these type of games.

I played these at another site. I even created a couple Unorthodox openings to use. Yeah they are not sound for normal time/move but opponents do not have time to go into deep anaylsis.

I found sticking to opening principles does not always work sometimes breaking them is better as your opponet starts  wondering even more so it is an attack to win material early. Castling early ahhhh. Keep options open to castle either side or maybe keep king in the middle of board behind pawns and pieces.

I like to put traps into play. Why? Not the reason you think. See they already see the traps so i have prepared for them not seeing the trap and cause them to worry about what i am doing besides that. Now they have 2 things to worry about as they do not want to make the move that lets me use my trap. tic tic every couple of moves.

Ok so what i am saying is find ways that makes your opponent think more. It is not really about who is stronger in these type games if both sides have similar rank. But the person who waste the most time. If they get behind they make more mistakes plus have to take more time up and at that moment scan the board for better options.

Also, people tend to make blunders in bullet, because they're playing so fast. Keep an eye out for them and take advantage if you can!

So you want to be better at wood pushing?  Or "sh*t" chess?  That's all 1 minute chess is.  "Sh*t" chess.

You should be working on getting better at long time controls, like 2 hours each.

work on openings for bullet chess ,and these openings must be rare and complicated.

SmyslovFan

Forget about the openings, those are over in a few seconds. Work on tactics tactics tactics, and practice.

gaereagdag

Nope. There ain't no way to improve at bullet.

If I got to 2800 in slow chess I would still be 300 at bullet.

If people like pfren want to say that is nonsense they can get stuffed.

I created 8 real strange openings for this type of game. It did not change much as the games went to 40+ moves. It is just a mouse clicking game. They move the King like a scrambling QB about to get hit if they smell mate.

EternalChess

The best way to improve is to improve your standard and blitz rating.

SmyslovFan

If you believe it's a mouse clicking game, the fact that better chess players tend to win in blitz and bullet will not disturb you.

Yes, internet connections make a huge difference here, more so than on other sites.

But it's still chess. Study tactics, get good at recognising tactics, and practice. That's how you will improve at blitz and bullet chess.

The world champions in blitz chess are names you may recognise: Tal, Fischer, Kasparov, Aronian, Anand, Carlsen...

Well if you are 2800 then you should have 1500 -1700 at a 1 minute game easy. In that case it would just require to play a minimum of 100 games a day which should take 2 - 3 hours with some breaks between games.

I tried that and i did improve but i then would have to give it up. And after a while my hand was shaped like my mouse. lol. Not walking around like that all day.

You're probably thinking too much.  You need near instant recognition of basic tactical patterns and where the undefended pieces are.  In one minute chess just keep your pieces coordinated/defended even if the moves make no sense.  While your pattern recognition makes these moves for you (you shouldn't have to think to find these moves) your conscious thought will constantly be looking for/calculating tactics.  If your opponent moves before you can find an aggressive/good move, then the auto move of pattern recognition should have your next move waiting in your mind and you can play it instantly.

Near the end, schematic thinking is best.  You'll have your next 2-3-4 moves planned and in short term meory waiting to be played instead of just 1.

1/0 is a completely different mindset, to get better, play it a lot more.  However I think you will, at least temporarily, experience a decline in your long play.  I don't think it's worth it, but I guess that's up to you :p
