BUMP.... does anyone know anything about this??
I think white has an advantage in 3-check too. With black I usually try just to defend as well as possible
I feel that 3-check is a highly decisive game - AKA hard to see how draws can happen with best play... and since white definitely has some advantage, I feel it must be a forced win of some sort... too bad there's like no theory that I could find
I certainly prefer to play White, but I'm not sure it's a forced win.
You are right that it's a highly decisive game. Quite a few games are over in under 10 moves. However, I wonder if some games could end in draws by repetition or perhaps if a pawn ending was reached it could be drawn. In 3-minute games, though, it's extremely unlikely.
One way it could be drawn is if somehow both sides, in order to try and give check first, have to expose their own king, and then they'd have nothing better to do than move around... which actually might be the case! But then you'd need a lot of analysis to verify that, and it seems 3-check is not very popular...
White seems to be much much better in 3-check, because the first moves helps so much! That's how it seems to me. I'm new to 3-check, but it seems rly cool. But is white just much better?
